In Mike Patton and his lyrics the band found a new life, and there’s no bigger evidence than the numbers, becoming their most successful album to that day, as well as the most acclaimed by the critics. The single “Epic” became Faith No More’s most popular song, and is somehow emblematic of the unusual sound of the band, mixing influences and styles, in which is often described as “rap metal” or “funk metal”.
